The star of the Specsavers TV commercial will be visiting Cannock Shopping Centre to run some 5 minute Zumba sessions on Saturday 14 April, from 11:00am – 2:00pm. This high energy event is to help Specsavers in Cannock celebrate one year in their new store.
Hayley-Jo Whitney is known to millions as the short-sighted fitness teacher in the memorable advert, who led a group of pensioners expecting a bingo session with an energetic workout instead. The special guest is set to wow customers and passers-by with five-minute high-energy routines outside Specsavers as part of the store’s first birthday in their new location.
Store director Claire Blandford says: ‘Randeep and I were delighted to take over the store two years ago and have seen success ever since. We’re looking forward to the next year with our new hearcare partner Christine Smith who joined us last month, and excited that Hayley-Jo will be joining us to help celebrate this occasion.’
‘We will also be having a face painter to keep the children entertained, which means there’s no excuse to not join in the fitness routines, it should be great fun!’
The Specsavers Cannock team will also be on hand giving out leaflets, cakes and goodie bags to customer’s and passers-by. As well as celebrating a fantastic year, this event will kick off a 12-month charity challenge, where the store will be supporting a different charity each month.
The first of which starts at midnight on Saturday 19 May; an eight-hour endurance challenge raising money for Muscular Dystrophy UK. If you wish to make a donation the team will be collecting in store.
