Cannock Shopping Centre are pleased to announce that they will be partnering with The Donna Louise throughout 2019 to help raise much-needed funds for children and young people across Staffordshire with life limiting conditions.

The charity will be launching their partnership alongside their first campaign, the ‘Step Up’ Challenge where members of the community are being challenged to walk one million steps! Visitors across Cannock are encouraged to take part, either going it alone or adopting a team to hit their target, getting sponsored for every stride.

The charity will also be hosting multiple events in the centre over the course of the year, including art workshops, penalty shootouts and much more. Visitors are encouraged to keep checking back to find out what will be happening during the summer and beyond.

Chris Belyavin, Regional Fundraiser for The Donna Louise commented:

“Support from the local community is vital to what we do here at The Donna Louise, so working with Cannock Shopping Centre is a great opportunity for us. The majority of our funding comes from public donations alone, so every penny counts! We hope that many of the centre’s visitors will take part in our Step Up challenge – browsing the centre alone can easily build up at least 1,000 steps to add to their goal!”

Cannock Shopping Centre Manager Susi McCarthy also commented:

“We are excited to be working with The Donna Louise once again this year, helping raise awareness of the fantastic work they do with young children and families across Staffordshire. The events we will be hosting with the charity are really exciting and are perfect for families popping into the centre! Keep your eyes peeled to see what is coming!”

The Donna Louise provides hospice care for children and young people, with a limiting life conditions, and supports their families, providing respite and end of life care across Staffordshire.
