Upcoming ‘arr’-ay of pirate fun at Cannock Shopping Centre
Cannock Shopping Centre is delighted to be hosting a special day of pirate themed fun on Saturday 18th July.
From 11am until 4pm, shoppers are invited to visit the centre to search for hidden treasure with a fun pirate themed treasure hunt. What’s more, there will also be a pirate character who will be taking photos and swashbuckling selfies with the centre’s visitors.
To add to the entertainment, little visitors are also invited to take part in the centre’s Postcard of your Summer competition. Children can collect a blank postcard during the day and draw their dream summer on it. After completing their creation, these postcards can then be posted into a special designated competition post-box. The competition will run throughout the summer holidays and the child with the winning postcard is set to win a hamper of prizes at the end of August.
Natal Chapman, Centre Manager of Cannock Shopping Centre, commented: “We are delighted to be hosting this fun day of pirate entertainment for our shoppers. I hope everyone who attends the event has a fantastic time and I encourage as many families as possible to come along and make the most of what I’m sure will be a popular and exciting day.”
Cannock Shopping Centre to host creative Postcard Competition
Cannock Shopping Centre is delighted to be hosting a special arty ‘Postcard of your Summer’ competition which will launch from the centre’s Pirate Fun Day on Saturday 18th July and run until the end of the school holidays.
Children can visit the centre on the day of the special event in order to pick up a blank postcard template from 11am until 4pm, which they are invited to then take home and complete with a design of their choice over the summer holidays. From a week in Spain to enjoying barbeques with family, children are invited to fill the postcard in with details of their summer adventures.
After completing their postcards, little residents can then post their designs back into a designated competition post-box, which can be found on the Lower Mall by Farm Foods in the centre.
Children looking to pick up a postcard template after the 18th July can do so by visiting Farm Foods or Argos.
One lucky winner will then be chosen following the end of the school holidays and awarded with a special hamper of prizes.
Natal Chapman, Centre Manager of Cannock Shopping Centre, commented: “We are delighted to be hosting our Postcard of your Summer competition for our younger shoppers. From building sandcastles at the beach to swimming in the sea, I can’t wait to see what everyone’s been up to over the summer holidays. I encourage as many parents as possible to pick up a postcard for their child as not only is this a great way to keep kids entertained, but a fantastic opportunity to harness their creativity.”
